The opening player shoots the marked ball hitting first the side-cushion, banking the ball into or near his color cup. 4. LEGAL SHOT. Marked cue balls must be pocketed first. Other balls in the group can be pocketed in any order. Player must pocket his balls in his cup. 5. PENALTY SHOTS. If a player sinks another ball before his marked ball is pocketed, or he sinks one of his balls into his opponent's cup, his opponent may remove two of his balls and drop them into his cup.
